Its Finally Friday!!!

Sorry i've been MIA for so long. I had a wonderful time at the beach and we took ton's of pictures. My dad has gotten really sick in the past week so i am asking you to please say a prayer for him today for a speedy recovery.
I am super excited about Saturday. I am going to meet with a floral designer to talk about some design. I think he will do good i just hope he is not too expensive. I figure if he is well at least i can get some ideas on things. So sorry this one is short today but, i have got lots of work to do so hope you all have a wonderful Friday!!!

Checking off the list.

I was packing for my beach trip (leave tomorrow) and i remembered that i had to show you what i finally finished. I finished my reefs for the front door of my church. I just love them and think they are beautiful.

I have been packing like a mad dog since 5:00 i always want to take so much stuff and usually end up only wearing half of the clothes i brought. So this year i am only taking what i need haha that is just working out wonderfully :) I will be spending a lovely week long vacation with my fiance and his family at the beach. I am super excited about it and just so glad to be getting away from everything. I'm sure i will have ton's of pictures to share with everyone when I'm done.

Bling Bling Bling

Today i went to check out some men's wedding bands. J's aunt just got married and just so happen her new hubby is the owner of a local jewelry store so i decided to drop by there and check out what they had. J does not want anything with bling or shiny so i checked out the titanium rings. I am just not really sure what would be the best choice. So my question is what type of metal have you picked out for your fiance's finger?

Also i got another piece to my wedding day jewelry. I now have my earrings and a bracelet. My mom actually bought me my bracelet for Easter so i finally went and picked up my earrings. I just love love love them and i am so excited about getting to wear them. This is my earrings. I have always loved something about chandelier earrings and i really wanted something that would show up since i will be wearing my hair down.

Engagement Story.

Sorry i have been MIA for so long and yes i know i have been a very bad blogger. I have just been so busy with things. My dad has been sick for about the past two weeks, work had been busy and on top of things i have got a lot of wedding stuff done. Also, i have fallen in love with my camera all over again. J bought me this camera about two years ago for my birthday. Its nothing special just a little digital camera. Anyways i found out how to zoom in super close this past weekend so i have had a little catching up to do on pictures of things that i could not take before because they always turned out super blurry.

So i realized i never told you guys the engagement story and now since i have some pictures to show i will share.

We got engaged Christmas Eve 2008, we did our normal Christmas Eve tradition which is go to J's grandparents house and eat supper with the family and then come to his parents house and open our gift to each other and with his parents. J and his sister (one of my BM) had went ring shopping about a month or so before and he had told me he had narrowed it down to two different rings but really wanted to wait till after Christmas that he had something special planned.
So i knew that i was not going to get a ring for Christmas. Also, we had both agreed that if he decided to get me a ring for Christmas not to get me anything else. So i had this idea that if i got other gifts that i would not get a ring. So we are opening gifts and i have about four gifts that i had not open and had already told myself no ring since there were gifts. I had gotten some bath stuff, a pair of earrings, a gift card and i was on my last gift. It was a perfume set from Victoria Secret (i love love love). Well i thought that was all that was in the bag and he said there is something else in there. So i pulled out tissue paper after tissue paper and what do i find but this pretty little box. I thought it might be another pair of earring or a bracelet. So i unwrapped the box to find another box. I opened the box and there was the most beautiful ring (i am bias) i had ever seen. I looked up and J was on one knee. So right there in front of his mom, dad, and grandmother he proposed to me (tear). It was more then i could have ever asked for and it better then i could have ever pictured. So we immediately called my mom and dad who already knew he was going to ask. He was so sweet that he asked my parents for my hand first. Then we called his sister and brother in law and anyone else we could dial up.
