Bridal Portraits

Happy Monday!!! This past week was super busy for me. First, I had my mid-term for school then Wednesday I took my bridal portraits :) finally, Saturday I meet with my new florist.
My bridal portriats were so much fun. I have an awesome photographer and she just made everything like a party. I started off getting my hair and make up done and that was pretty interesting. Finally after 3 hours of hair and makeup im in my dress and ready to go. Do you know how hard it is to put a bride in a puffy white dress in the back seat of a car? Well at least it was only a short ride to the locations. We did a whole southern bell and run away bride theme. I have not gotten the professional pictures back yet but, I had mom take a few after the photographer left and let me tell you what those were so beautiful.

Meeting with my florist was was like a weight was lifted off my shoulder. I have had a challenge with a florist and this is the 4th one that i have meet with. The last one decided to drop me because another bride came along and he could make more money off her then me so he dropped me. Oh dont worry i gave him a terrible review. Anyways im glad he dropped me because i have found a really really awesome florist who does amazing work and I cant wait for March to roll around so I can see who beautiful everything looks.

Bridal bouquet

So I bit the bullet yesterday and made a trip to Hobby Lobby (50% off on flowers) and I bought $60.00 worth of roses in cream and light pink. I did four full blossoms, a couple of medium blossoms and then some of the not full yet blossoms. Last night my mom and I put them together and made a very beautiful bouquet. I love love love it but, sorry i forget to take a picture of it :(Now the only thing i have to do is buy some ribbon to tie around the base of it. The best part is I saved some big bucks on doing it myself. The florist wanted $80.00 to do me one and then Hobby Lobby has some that they have already made up and they were around $50.00 and only had 14 roses in them so I think i scored big time. I will have to say over all it was pretty simple and my wonderful google printed instructions were very helpful too. So i am happy now and not so much stressed out about it :)

Am I Crazy???

Wow its been forever since I've blogged on here. I sure have missed it. Well I have a question for all of you. Am I Crazy??? I have decided not to hire a florist and use a friend of the family who does beautiful flowers. I will be using artificial flowers for the church arrangement and some of the centerpieces but, the rest will be real flowers. So the am I crazy part come from the fact that i will be having my bridal portraits done in a couple of weeks and I am doing my bouquet for the pictures. See what i mean, i must be crazy!!!!

Speaking of bridal portraits I am so excited to finally be pulling out my dress and putting it on but, i just have to decide on a location.

Where did you have your pictures done at? Outside or in studio and were you happy with them?

Alittle something blue and I Won!!!

I decided that my plain white shoes were just too plain so i added a little something to them. Actually a little something blue to them. I put these cute royal blue letters on the back of my shoes that say "I Do" My picture quality is not so good and i was having some trouble out of my camera.

DIGITAL CAMERA!!!!

How awesome is that... I never win anything so when i opened my email this morning and had an email saying that i had won the camera from the blog WeddingObsession.com. Here is a picture of it from there website. Now i sure enough will not have to worry about problems with my camera because i will soon have a new one.

I heart shoes!!!

We have a house!!! Woo Hoo we actually will be closing on our little home this coming Monday. I have been picking paint colors and deciding where i am going to put furniture and then trying to set up our water, gas, cable, telephone and everything else. Boy is house buying exhausting!!! I am just so tired and just ready for us to get the keys. We are so so excited because we have so many plans that we want to do. Well enough of that lets get to the fun stuff.

So mean while i made alittle shopping stop and pickup some something wedding related since the wedding plans have been put alittle on hold for the past month or so. I finally bought my shoes and i am so glad that i waited because i found some that i really really love. They are just so awesome and so far beside my dress they are my favorite thing. Please excuse my feet they really need so see a pedicure very soon.

MIA but lots of DIY

Sorry I've been MIA here lately its just that life has taken a busy street the past couple of months. It just seems like everyday there is just so much to do. The BF and i are house hunting and we have found a couple that we really love. We actually go Saturday to meet our realtor to look at the inside of the houses. This will be the first home for the both of us and we are just so excited about moving things along. FYI just 8 months till our wedding and i really need to get my butt in gear. Anyways i have a couple of pictures to share of some things i have been doing lately and i made a little trip to Michael's and bought a couple of really exciting things that i just have to share. First i bought my garter that i will be keeping. FI is a huge Alabama Football Fan and i found this a couple of months ago and had forgotten about it. I think it will be cute because it will match his cake and thanks to my sweet FI for being my arm model (no i don't have really hairy arms LOL). Then on my Michael's run today i found these cute iron on's. I am going to use the "I DO" and iron these on a cute pair of white panties. I may use the other for a cute hoodie or something. I also bought a picture frame from Michael's that you have your guest write you messages on the mat. I saw these a couple of months ago and just had to have one. So thanks to a 50% off coupon i got me one of these little cuties. I am going to put it on a stand in our reception area for our guest to sign. Finally, I finally finished my card box (yeah) actually i should say the FI and i have finished it because he did a lot of help. I think it turned out to be really cute and i cant wait to put my E-Pic's in it and show it off. Well off to eat some lasagna that i made for the FI.
