From my head to my toes.

I have been trying to decide what type of shoes i want. So far these are my favorite. have i mentioned that i love shoes. I have a closet full of shoes and i just think these would be so perfect.

Also, i am super excited about a little find i have made. One of the knotties Jodyhttp://www.mywedding.com/jonandjody/index.html sent me the directions to make this little baby. I have looked and looked all over town for either this bracelet or directions on how to make it. So After sweet sweet Jody sent me her directions on how to make it, i am going to make this. I know that i can do it and even if it means that i don't do any other DIY stuff i am going to make this little baby. I think it is beautiful and would go perfect with my dress. Now just to actually make it. Be looking for pictures on this one.

Also, i have finally picked out what type of flowers i will be using. I am doing half silk and half fresh flowers. All of my girls and guys will have fresh flowers. All of my ceremony and reception flowers will be silk. Really I would not say they are silk because they are really a rubber type material and they look so real and really kind of feel real.

I have them all wrapped up in tissue but, i unwrapped a couple for you too see. So far i have picked Roses in pink and white, Peonies in pink and white, callililies in pink, white and green and hydrangeas in pink, white and green. I love my flowers and i think they are beautiful.

Hope you guys are having a wonderful week.

Cakes

Woo Hoo i have found the most perfect bakery ever to do my cake. I wont revel who yet but just be patient and it will come. We actually meet her at a bridal show a couple of months ago and tasted one of her cakes and man oh man this lady makes the best cakes every, talk about some good good cakes. The baker is suppose to be emailing me some of her previous work to look. I am so excited about this oh and she was within my budget (again woo hoo). Here is one cake picture i found that i love but not my favorite. Sorry i don't have a picture of it on the computer.

Tornado's???

Just wanted to check and make sure everyone was ok after the bad storm last night. I was for sure that either my house was going to be floating or there was going to be tree's down everywhere. Hope everyone was ok.

Pew Decorations

My next DIY project will be something to use along the sides of the church isle. I have looked into a couple of different options and here is some of the one's that i have trying to pick between.

I have got to give it to Martha Stewart she's got it going on with the wedding DIY. These pictures are from her website and i just thought they were so pretty.

This is a pew pomanders, thanks for the picture from weddingobsession.com. I love these and just think they look so pretty. Now i just have to figure out which will hang better from the pew's at the church.

I finally went out and bought the supplies to make my photo card box. I will post some pictures of the final product later.

To do list for next week:
1. decide on a photographer (I'm down to two)
2. Talk with a caterer about mine & Joseph's cake
3. Visit Hobby Lobby for some tall candle pillars
4. decide on which pew decorations i want to use
5. Construct photo card box and post pictures for you all to see.

The Dress (JOSEPH DONT LOOK HERE)

Well i have been looking and looking through tons of magazines and just could not find "the one," so i decided to go and just try some on to get some ideas of what i like and don't like. We went to three different wedding shops in town on Saturday. The first one i did not find anything at all and was very disappointed. The next shop i found a very beautiful Casablanca dress that was beautiful but i just did not think it was "the one" but my mom and SIL just loved the dress. So finally we went to the last shop for the day and i found a beautiful ivory dress that did not need any alterations at all and it was 1/2 off (perfect). I just could not decide if it was the dress. The only thing i was against was that it was ivory and not white, which was very important to me being that i am having a very traditional wedding. So i decided to sleep on it. The next day we went to Davids Bridal and i found THE DRESS!!! I was so happy and excited. I loved the dress and so did my mom and everyone else. I really was not ready to purchase a dress yet but, i could not just let this one go.
JOSEPH DO NOT LOOK PAST THIS POINT!!

I'M SERIOUS JOSEPH DON'T LOOK!

YOU WILL HAVE TO SEEK THE WRATH OF ME, MY MOM AND YOUR MOM IF YOU DO!!!

OK LAST CHANCE THERE IS NO TURNING BACK FROM HERE ON OUT.

Card Box??

Boy oh boy what a list i have in my head. Like i have told you before i am wanting to do a lot of DIY stuff for the wedding and i have been keeping all the ideas in my head and i think i am about to start throwing up ideas. Here are some of the ideas for you to see. First i really really want to do a card box. I had no clue what in the world a card box was until i saw all these brides talking about doing card boxes themselves. Well here is some pictures of some different one's i have found that i like.

This picture card box above and the isle runner is from Road to the Aisle blogger, see her beautiful engagement picture. This one is sitting on a lazy Susan (i think that's what it is called) so you can spin it around. The third picture is the top of it. I really like them both but i think i am leaning towards the picture one. Also here is a picture of the isle runner that i thinking about doing. I'm just not sure if this is necessary to do? Do you have to have this? I am hoping this weekend to get some stuff marked off my list.

All things in color

Welcome to my blog and my first blog post ever. I am planning my wedding to the man of my dreams and my best friend. I am currently working on our monogram and i am thinking of trying a DIY monogram isle runner for the church but we will just have to see about this one. I am still trying to pick out some reception centerpieces and have found a few that i really love but just can pick one. The one's i love are: ( I think the first one is too small but just thought it was too cute not to show you guys)
I have also picked out a couple of arrangements to use in the church and guess what here a little pic for you to check out. I just cant decide if i want all white flowers or the colored.

My receptions flower and ceremony flowers will more then likely be a DIY project too. Anyways what do you guys think. More to come soon! Oh and all of the pictures are from two of the best sites ever the knot.com or Brides.com and if i have used your picture without giving you credit feel free to shoot me an email and i will give you the credit.
